Eureka-based Rita's Restaurant & Specialty Foods Inc. traces its roots back to 1988, when Rita's Cafe first opened its doors in Eureka. Over a decade later, it opened it's second location in Eureka and in 2003 acquired the first liquor license. In 2007, Rita's changed it's name to Rita's Margaritas & Mexican Grill to encompass the ever-growing bar.
Rita's started as a neighborhood-style mexican restaurant that served high quality homemade Mexican food in a casual kid-friendly atmosphere. Sales grew quickly and additional restaurants flourished. Our model is currently executed in four restaurants in the Humboldt County area. Our Specialty Wholesale division has grown exponentially over the last two years and become a large supplier of wholesale foods. Our products are available in many markets throughout the west coast, and our product sales are higher than our quota. We plan to expand eastward and potentially become a national house hold brand.
